We all want to know what the best website is to find VO work. Is it a pay-to-play? What about gig work sites, or bulletin board sites? In this video, Anne reveals the absolute best website to find voice-over work.
OK guys, so I'm gonna tell you today where the best site is for getting voiceover work. Now there are lots of options out there. There are casting websites there are sites that are called pay to plays, there are freelance websites that you can go and put your profiles on and fill out all that information and upload your demos and all that good stuff. Now some of these pay-to-play sites, which given the name you have to pay for. A lot of times you really want to find if you're going to get that return on investment after you spend the money.
But let me tell you the best place to put your dollars and the best place to get work as a voiceover talent is your own website. The reason for that is that you always want to direct traffic back from let's say any kind of Google search or anybody out there that wants to find the next commercial voice for their brand, you want to show up in that search and you want that link to go right back to your central website. Because number one they can find out everything they need to know about you. They can hear everything they want to hear all types of demos and guess what they know how to get in touch with you and they know how to pay you.
So all of that right there on your own website without having to go through a middleman. The best site is your website. You want to make sure that you're preparing your website so that people can find you easily. So make sure that on your website you have your contact information right up top, there above the fold. Make sure that you have your email address and phone number even so that people can actually pick up a phone and call you if they so desire. Make sure that you have all of your demos up there and uploaded so that they can hear you. Make sure that they can also download that demo so they can pass that demo along. So yeah, the best site to get voiceover work is your own website.
Much love and Keep on rockin' your biz!
XOXO,
Anne
