Being coached by Anne is what I needed to finally gain true confidence to self-direct myself when recording for Corporate Elearning projects. I am profoundly grateful for the time I am currently spending studying voiceover technique with the wonderful Anne Ganguzza. It is life changing and work-changing. She challenges me with difficult material and helps me hone in on my true voice. People ask me all the time, “how do I get into voice over?” I always tell them that it’s not as easy as it seems. It’s a big investment in terms of time and money. To be as good as you can be, you have to learn to know yourself, and you have to learn how to really read and interpret a script. You also have to have a sense of humor and give yourself a break. Much like with jazz singing (my other big passion), it’s not really about having a nice-sounding voice. Not to mention, you have to learn all of the *other* things about running a business. Voice over is very competitive, but having a great coach is one of the best investments I have ever made!
