Google Workspace for Business: Why I Use It Every Day

When people ask me what tools I use to run my business, they usually expect me to talk about microphones, recording software, or studio equipment.

Those things matter, of course. But the reality is that recording is only one part of what I do.

On any given day, I'm coaching voice actors, recording podcast episodes, answering client emails, preparing for workshops, collaborating with my team, and creating educational content. Like many business owners, I wear a lot of hats. The last thing I want is to spend time searching for files, chasing down emails, or wondering whether everyone has the latest version of a document.

That's why I've relied on Google Workspace for business.

It's not something I think about very often — and honestly, that's exactly why I like it. It quietly does its job so I can focus on mine.

Why a Professional Email Matters

One of the first things I encourage anyone starting a business to do is create a professional email address using their own domain.

It might seem like a small detail, but first impressions matter. Whether you're reaching out to a new client, following up after a meeting, or introducing yourself to a potential collaborator, having an email that reflects your business immediately creates a more professional experience.

It's one of those simple steps that tells people you're serious about what you do.

Staying Organized Means Less Stress

There are a lot of moving pieces behind every coaching session, podcast episode, and workshop.

There are outlines to write, calendars to manage, client notes to keep track of, contracts to send, presentations to build, and resources to organize.

I've learned that the more organized my business is, the more present I can be for the work that actually matters.

I like knowing that my email, calendar, documents, and file storage all work together. Instead of jumping between multiple platforms, everything is where I expect it to be. That may sound simple, but over time it saves countless hours and eliminates a lot of unnecessary frustration.

How Google Workspace for Business Simplifies Collaboration

Even though much of my work happens from my own studio, very little of it happens alone.

I regularly work with podcast guests, assistants, editors, designers, and other members of my team. Being able to share documents, leave comments, make edits together, and know everyone is looking at the same file makes collaboration feel effortless.

Rather than worrying about which attachment is the newest version, we can focus on getting the work done.

Technology Should Support Your Business

As business owners, we already have enough to think about.

The tools we use shouldn't create more work — they should help remove it.

That's what I've appreciated most about Google Workspace. It helps keep my business organized without requiring much attention from me. I can access what I need whether I'm working from my studio, traveling to a conference, or preparing for a coaching session.

When your systems are working well, you spend less time managing your business and more time growing it.

A Recommendation I Feel Good About

Google Workspace has  become part of how I work every day, and it's one of the few business tools I regularly recommend because it's helped simplify so much of what happens behind the scenes.

If you're building your own business — or you're ready to move beyond a personal email address and create a more professional workflow — I encourage you to take a look.

I've partnered with Google Workspace through their referral program because it's a product I genuinely use every day in my own business. Those of you who've been with me for a while know I don't recommend products or services lightly. If I'm sharing something with you, it's because I've used it extensively, tested it in my own business, and truly believe it can help others grow theirs. If you'd like to get started, you can sign up using my referral link below.

Running a business takes more than doing the work you love. Having reliable systems behind the scenes gives you more time to focus on serving your clients and growing your business. That's exactly what Google Workspace has done for me. If you've ever wondered how I use it to manage my business—or if you're considering it for your own—I'm always happy to answer questions and share what's worked for me.

Wishing you continued success,
