On the other hand, if you have a younger voice, you might be speaking to a younger generation. It all depends on the purpose of the advertisement and the target audience the client wants to address with their product or service.

To be successful in the voice over industry, it's crucial to understand your voice and its unique qualities. Enlisting the help of a coach, friend, or mentor can be invaluable in discovering your vocal footprint and the demographics you can target. Once you have a clear understanding of your voice, you can then determine which auditions to go for and how to perform in a way that best speaks to the intended audience. This requires a bit of script analysis and a deep understanding of your own voice.

This allows you to align your voice with companies that identify with your target demographic.
