I had a fantastic demo recording experience with Anne and John fueled by a host of private coaching sessions with Anne, to be sure I was ready for “demo day”. I thought medical narration might come easier for me given that I work full-time in healthcare in addition to voice acting. I’m so glad I invested on coaching because I needed to learn how to “show up” behind the mic as a medical narrator which requires different skills than other voiceover genres…including the prep work before ever starting to record. BAM!!! For the hat trick, it's a shiny new medical demo! Thanks, AG and John Chominsky, for the assist. You always make it fun and capture my sound so well. This was a demo of a different kind, and the process certainly kicked my butt, but Anne was there every step of the way as a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable teacher to bring it in for the win at the end. She taught me the ins and outs of the research and marking up of scripts/pronunciation keys essential in this genre to have it sound organic. Ensured that my pronunciation of big words was accurate and fluid. Always having my brand and signature sound front and center in script selection - what could we highlight here to showcase my abilities that might not be highlighted in my existing demos? How to market most effectively in this genre? Come demo day, Anne and John worked hard to keep me calm and relaxed during the reads and we just had fun.
