5 Ways to Improve Your Voiceover Website

A bright "OPEN" sign hangs on a shop door with a glass background. Bold blue and yellow colors give a welcoming feel.

Is Your Voiceover Website Inviting Buyers In—or Driving Them Away?

Imagine walking down a street looking for a new clothing shop. The first store is bright and inviting, with a clear sign, spotless windows, and an appealing display that immediately tells you what’s inside. The second shop? Hard to find, with grimy windows, outdated decor, and no clear indication if it’s even open. Which one do you walk into?

Now, think about your voiceover website. Your website is your digital storefront, and just like those two shops, it can either welcome buyers in—or send them running in the other direction. In today’s online-driven industry, buyers often search for voiceover talent on their own, without an agent or casting site. If your website doesn’t make it easy for them to find and book you, you could be losing work. Whether you’re building a new website or refreshing an existing one, here are five essential elements to ensure your site works for you—not against you.

1. Place Your Demo in Clear Sight

Your voiceover demo is your product—it’s what buyers need to hear first. Make sure your demo is easy to find and play immediately. That means it should be above the fold on your homepage, visible without scrolling. Avoid complicated players—buyers don’t want to click multiple times just to hear your voice. A simple, one-click player with a download option ensures a seamless experience. If a producer is browsing in between meetings, they won’t waste time figuring out how to listen. Make it easy.

2. Make Your Contact Information Obvious

If a buyer loves your demo but can’t figure out how to contact you, they’ll move on. Your email and phone number should be immediately visible—not buried in your bio or tucked away on a separate page. Ideally, place it near your demo or in the site’s header and footer. A simple contact form is also a great addition, but don’t rely on it as the only way for someone to reach you.

3. Ensure Your Site Is Mobile-Friendly

More than 81% of Americans own a smartphone, and most online searches happen on mobile devices. If your website isn’t optimized for mobile, you’re alienating a huge portion of potential clients. A site that requires pinching, zooming, or excessive scrolling is frustrating to use. Google even offers a free mobile-friendly test so you can check if your site is up to speed. If it’s not, it’s time for an update.

4. Feature Client Testimonials

Word of mouth is one of the most powerful tools in marketing. Testimonials from past clients build credibility and help new buyers trust you. If you’ve worked with brands, studios, or producers, ask for a short testimonial and display them prominently on your site. Seeing real feedback from happy clients can be the nudge a new buyer needs to book you.

5. Keep the Design Clean and Functional

Your website should be simple, clear, and visually appealing. Buyers shouldn’t have to guess what you do. Avoid distracting elements like flashy animations, excessive images, or outdated fonts. Instead, invest in professional web design to create a polished, user-friendly experience. A well-structured site with intuitive navigation makes it easier for buyers to find what they need—and hire you faster.
