Vintage Glam CoverThis project by Sandy Navarro was just so much fun to make.  I took her Vintage Glam class at The Scrapbok Oasis and had such a great time.  Wow - what a talent she is.  All I can say is - GLITTER and GLAM galore!  Some of the coolest products that I used were Vintage glass glitter, Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels, and I am all about the gorgeous Martha Stewart white gold glitter!    It has a gorgeous vintage, almost silver color.

To adhere the Martha Stewart gltter and the Vintage Glass gliter, I used Glossy Accents, which worked really well becuase it remains tacky for a while and dries clear.  And it really seems to adhere gltter the best of all the adhesives I have tried.  (Although I am sure I will be seeing glitter acattered about in various places around the house for a while! :)  In order to secure the glitter on the chipboard letters even better, I applied a top coat of Krylon.  There is nothing more annoying to me than looking at a project that leaves glitter all over you when you are finished!!!

Of course we used lots of ribbon, lace, and tulle as well for the pages.  Oh, and we can't foget about feathers!!!  Sandy included some gorgeous hand dyed silk ribbon that I have never seen before.  I did some scouting on the web and found a similar ribbon here at M&J Trimming.  The Old Ivory color would be the closest.

One of the prettiest pages we did and most interesting techniques I learned was the page where we gathered and stapled ivory tulle to a page.  We then hand sewed pearl beads to the staples.  OK, I cannot begin to tell you how tedious that was, but well worth the effort!!!

The base album was a 7 Gypsies  Bare Naked Album.  Everything was distressed using the Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and  of course his signature Antique Linen Distress Ink.  The papers that were used were from Anna Griffin - of course - who is more Vintage than Anna!  There was an absolute gorgeous paper we used that was an ivory flocked damask print.  I couldn't seem to find one by Anna but I did find one similar to the ivory one we used at The Paper Studio

The chipboard letters were from Heid Swapp, and the tiny alphas were from Making Memories.

One of my surprising favorite pages was created with a die cut shoe.  It was simply art that was printed on tan card stock.  But I was *amazed* at how pretty it looked once it was distressed, and then adorned with platinum Stickles and a few clear rhinestones.  And then that gorgeous hand dyed silk ribbon was the final touch!

All in all, this was probably one of the prettiest albums I have created.  I can't wait until Sandy's next class!
